Wow, a week has passed....
since i last blogged. much has happened. all is well.
thursday last week i heard from my mom that she needed to have surgery on friday. her dr. told her her liver was very abnormal, and he needed to biopsy it. i drove down early friday morning to be with her. to make a long story short, she had a blocked bile duct. mind you, she had her gallbladder removed almost a year ago. her bile duct was blocked with a gallstone.....um, yea, she has had that for a long time and hasn't felt well for a very long time. dr. told her she was going to be feeling much better these days! she is doing excellent. thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
I have decided, that nurses are gifted angels.
drs. earn every penny they make.
if you have your health, you have it all.
hospital and the verb sleep are very far aprt and should never be used in the same sentence. no one sleeps there.
all of this i have decided after the intense time spent with my mom.
after seeing her rebound from waking-up, ready to eat and go shopping...that was great.
after hearing a man near us cry and moan for what seemed like hours in the wee hours of the morning....he was suffering. it was sad. i cried for him. i cried for all the people lying in the beds that night. no one wants to be there, and so many faces that i saw looking at me were aged souls, with blank stares......i heard the "angels" comforting the man, until his pain had subsided...i was thankful my mom was not feeling pain.
whoever designed the hospital recliner, has obviously never slept in one. they are hellish.
i drove home saturday and arrived home at noon.
by 1pm i was fast asleep.
i was awake at 6:30pm.
weekend gone.
sunday, i painted, and painted.
ahhhh....
the image above...it's all i had.kinda captured a moment in our life. josh eating 2 waffles with a fudrucker's hat on. we haven't been there in months. lucky on the couch begging for something from emmarae. both kids are wearing fender guitar shirts this day..not planned either.
life is good.
